We seized the sunny Saturday, and stowing our golden oldie tandem on the deck, motored away across calm shining waters to Savary Island for the day…
It’s a happy 4-1/2 mile pedal down (and up!) an old dirt road to reach the farthest tip of the island—Indian Point, where we rendezvoused with friends for lunch and a stroll…
… on this fine (Canadian)Thanksgiving weekend…
We have much to be thankful for!

The roots of our marriage lie here on the prairies…
…in a small town nestled like an oasis in the middle of vast stretches of farmland under a big sky…
This is where Jim and I met way back when we were young—one from the East Coast, one from the west, converging here to study the Bible and prepare for future ministry…
…and lo and behold our paths crossed and the rest is history!
We wouldn’t have foreseen returning to this place years hence with our youngest offspring already 17!
…to visit kin now living here…
Many things we didn’t envision, couldn’t envision…
…but in it all God has been good to us.

And what’s a lovely summer made of?
Well for starters…
But a summer’s not complete without a trip to visit the best product of old age…the grandbabies…
First the early morning ferry ride as sun comes up…
And by day’s end the sun is settling to its rest, and we are nearly there…
…to meet the latest arrival to the family!
And now our summer is complete!
