The season for fog is upon us. Dense, cold, wet, unshakable FOG.
It can put a damper on your very soul, unless somehow you can rise above it.
Jim invited me for an outing today, to go see if our little Scout Mountain was above it all.
I’m so glad I went. It saved my afternoon from sinking into an abyss of gloomy reflections.
Here’s what we found!
All this fabulous footage is by Jim.
He took it in with his new camera, Louie with his nose, and I with my pen…
Once again we are given this living parable, that despite the fog that dims our view some days, God is still on the throne, His sun still shining. Though we may not see Him or feel Him near He is there, just beyond the fog…
Psalm 45:6
Those pictures are amazing!
Good thoughts mom
Too cool! Brian will love these pictures. Maelee
Beautiful pictures mom. I hiked up there today to get out of the fog too! But I forgot the camera …
What a gift to be able to climb up above the clouds to see the sun…and your reflections ignited with such clarity of eye and soul. Reminds me of Isaiah 40:41, in which the righteous rise “with wings as eagles.” I’ve heard it said that eagles soar above storms, above cloud lines. Thanks for reminding me, even in the daily sunshine and cloudless skies here in Tucson, that I need to climb His hill to get that heavenly perspective that truly refreshes and renews the soul. Thank you for being such beautiful, God-loving souls and friends of mine. The invitation stands for our guest room!
Clarification: Isaiah 40:31.
Thanks Paula! We’re thinking southward. Will see if wishing gets us there ( :
I was just practicing that verse in ASL to Chris Tomlin’s music ( :
