Wherever we wander, beauty is always to be found.
Far from home tucked away in quietness in a nook alone I was surrounded by it…
And tender sweetness filling the air…
And OH! the minute detail that goes largely unseen…

We are home again now.
Still the season’s late salmonberry hang coquettishly in the cool woods…
The blackberries making up for lost time put on their delicate crepe dresses…
My winter wheat has survived the tramp of man and beast to multiply itself in comely heads…
And the foxglove never looked so radiant as in day’s setting sun!
May that be said of me when my life’s wanderings are done!
“They will come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, And they will be radiant over the bounty of the LORD— Over the grain and the new wine and the oil, And over the young of the flock and the herd; And their life will be like a watered garden, And they will never languish again.” (Jer.31:12)

Linda I really enjoy your blog, the photos are wonderful. The salmon berries are just starting here. We have moved further north for 5 weeks at Ivory Island Lightstation. Thanks for taking the time to offer encouragement to others, I really appreciate it. Your blog is the closest thing I have to going to church. Thanks,
-Debby
